Columbia River Gorge · Oregon & Washington
A little less searching.
A little more time in the Gorge.
Wondering what’s happening around the Gorge this weekend?
Ask Agent Gorge. It searches selected public event calendars and returns listings with links to the original sources.
How to use Agent Gorge
What are you up for?
Ask about a particular town or search across the Gorge. You can specify a date and the kind of event you’re looking for.
- “What’s happening in Hood River this weekend?”
- “Find live music across the Gorge next week.”
- “What event sources do you cover in The Dalles?”
Where the listings come from
Agent Gorge covers selected public calendars in Hood River, White Salmon, The Dalles, Stevenson and other Gorge communities. Categories include music, art, community events, food and drink, and outdoor events.
There are gaps. Instagram and Facebook events are excluded, and some sources may be unavailable or have no listings. A search can come back empty even when events are happening nearby.
The calendars refresh periodically. Check the organizer’s link before heading out, particularly for schedule changes or cancellations. You’ll also want to confirm tickets and accessibility. Event times use Pacific time.
Using Agent Gorge in ChatGPT
I’m preparing Agent Gorge for the ChatGPT directory. Once the listing is approved and published, I’ll add the installation link here.
Connect it yourself
You can connect the hosted MCP service now if your ChatGPT plan and workspace allow developer mode and custom connections. This setup is not available on every plan.
- In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login and enable Developer mode. If the option is missing, your account or workspace may not support it.
- Open Plugins and choose the plus button to add a connection. Name it Agent Gorge.
- Choose a public MCP server connection and enter
https://agentgorge.com/mcp. If asked for authentication, choose None. Agent Gorge does not need an API key or a separate login. - Create the connection and check that it lists Search Gorge events and List event sources.
- Start a new chat, select Agent Gorge from the tools menu, and ask: “What’s happening in Hood River this weekend?”
Agent Gorge does not charge a connection fee. ChatGPT’s own plan requirements and usage limits still apply. You do not need to buy OpenAI API credits for these steps.
If it does not connect
Check that the address ends in /mcp. The address is for your AI client;
opening it as an ordinary web page may show an error. If a connection already exists,
refresh its tools and try a new chat. Don’t send passwords or API keys to support.
Menu labels can change. See OpenAI’s connection guide for current instructions.
Already connected? You can keep using Agent Gorge as usual. You don’t need a separate Agent Gorge account. Its public tools look up events and show you the sources they cover.
